The California Triple Crown of Ultrarunning came to be in the later end 2014 after Santa Barbara 100 race directors Robert Gilcrest and Jakob Herrmann moved their event from its late May hosting date to the second Saturday in July. With three uniquely different and challenging100 mile endurance runs now approximately one month apart, the concept to develop a 100 mile ultra-running Triple Crown award seemed like the right thing to pursue. The CTC of Ultrarunning is being established and made possible through the generous cooperation of AC 100 race director Ken Hamada and SD 100 race director Scott Mills.
The California Triple Crown of Ultrarunning is an award; it is not a race or a series and as such we kindly request that you direct any questions regarding the CTC of Ultrarunning award organizers Robert Gilcrest or Jakob Herrmann.
CTC of Ultrarunning does not nor will consider substitute events in the unlikely event that one of the official CTC events was to be postponed or canceled. If any one of the events of CTC of Ultrarunning award would be canceled for that year.
We offer two registration options:
- $25 for your official results listed on the CTC website and a CTC t-shirt.
- $70 for your official results listed on the CTC website, a CTC t-shirt and a cool CTC California Bear statue finisher award.
